DOC Developing our Communities is an independent community development company, which works throughout the Hull and the East Riding of Yorkshire with individuals and groups to encourage sustainable development of local communities.
We are a people centred organisation, engaged in the creation of active, healthy and economically sustainable communities, and through the projects we manage and deliver, we have become a vehicle for building strong and sustainable civil society network, creating continuous and multiple pathways out of social exclusion.
The Community Enterprise Centre has now been open since October 2007 and provides a flexible and affordable base for several voluntary and community groups.
DOC DevelopinBringing together many different cultures to share and learn about each other in a safe and welcoming environment, over the next 18 months the project will facilitate the delivery of 20 cultural events combining food, costume, and music.
The Hull Gypsy and Traveller Project started in August 2002 to research the opinions of the Gypsy and Traveller community in regards to services. Working with this community to help improve quality of life, raise awareness and increase opportunities.
