DOC Developing our Communities is an Independent Community Development Company, which works throughout the Hull and the East Riding of Yorkshire with individuals and groups to encourage sustainable development of local communities.

We are a creative and innovative organisation with expertise in a whole range of areas, including community development, training, project management, grant management, funding, contract management, monitoring, drug prevention and youth work. We are at the cutting edge of community development, and have a national reputation for delivering quality community development.

We have become a vehicle for building strong and sustainable civil society network, creating continuous and multiple pathways out of social exclusion. We have a ‘grass roots’ approach, we also work with decision makers, representing local opinion and finding ways to bring local people to the decision making table. We aspire to be a creative organisation, realising that solutions to difficult problems will involve taking risks and thinking the unthinkable.
