The Community Enterprise Centre has now been open since October 2007 and provides a flexible and affordable base for several voluntary and community groups. The Community Enterprise Centre offers groups many advantages including access to a community development worker who is able to help with funding and help steer organisations towards sustainability. Another advantage for organisations using the Community Enterprise Centre is that the centre has quickly become a social space; this gives groups the opportunity to work in partnership and network freely with other voluntary and community organisations.

Office suites

The Community Enterprise Centre’s facilities enables established groups to hire permanent office space, but the CEC also offers the flexibility of shared office space including computer and internet for fledgling groups. In addition both established and fledgling organisations can hire event space and meeting rooms at a very realistic rate.

Meeting/conference space hire

The event/meeting rooms are also available for hire and this aspect of the Community Enterprise Centre’s work is crucial to its success. It is through attracting the public and private sector and community groups to use our facilities that the CEC will be able to achieve sustainability and ensure that we can continue to offer low rents to the third sector.
